Moscow Calls US Report on International Arms Control Total Disinformation RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED 05.08.2014 The recent statements by the US Department of State on other countries’ noncompliance with arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament agreements are blatant and open disinformation, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. “Blatant, deliberate disinformation of the international public opinion on other countries’ compliance with arms control agreements raises doubts over the authenticity of the data on the United States’ adherence to its own international obligations. We are ready to help Washington to rectify this omission. Objectivity and accuracy should be made the key pillars,” the statement by the ministry said. Moscow also remains perplexed why the United States has not yet ratified the 2005 Amendment to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material.
