The third unit of Balakovo NPP has been shut down for maintenance

The unit No. 3 of the Balakovo NPP was scheduled to be disconnected from the grid on January 31, 2026 at 00:03 (Moscow time) for fuel overload and overhaul lasting 164 days.

During the repair, two steam generators will be replaced with new ones, which have been in operation since 1988, since the commissioning of the third unit.
