First stage of design work on IZhSR has been completed

The first stage of design work on the creation of a research molten salt reactor (IZhSR) has been completed in Russia.

The stage included the development of materials for the main technological solutions for the formation of the corresponding section of the design documentation.

The creation of a research molten salt reactor has been underway at the Mining and Chemical Combine (MCC) in Zheleznogorsk since 2020.

Scientific management is carried out by the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center.
