CNNC medical electron linear accelerator enters special review for innovative medical devices

CNNC, PUBLISHED 03.08.2026

The sub-second rotation speed, coaxial coplanar diagnostic CT-guided medical electron linear accelerator, developed by CNNC Particle Medical Technology Co Ltd - a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), has been admitted into the national special review procedure for innovative medical devices.

As China's first product in the category to enter the review process, the device enables synchronous diagnostic-grade CT image acquisitions and precise positioning guidance at the treatment position. It thereby achieves full workflow optimization, from accurate positioning to efficient treatment deliveries.

CNNC Particle says it's dedicated to building a self-controllable high-end radiotherapy ecosystem. As such, it's formed three product lines: Medical Electron Linear Accelerators (LiNAC), SPECT/CT all-in-one devices, and Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) products.

The CT-guided LINAC under review stands as a key achievement in the company's strategic development.
