Key Component of Unit 4 Equipment Delivered to Akkuyu NPP Akkuyu Nuclear JSC Communications Service, PUBLISHED 03.09.2025 A vessel carrying a shipment of materials and equipment for Akkuyu NPP units (being built by Rosatom State Corporation) arrived at the Eastern Cargo Terminal. The total weight of the consignment exceeded 475 tons. Components of the condensate removal line for Unit 3, embedded parts and electrical equipment were delivered to the NPP site. Significant part of the shipment consisted of the equipment produced by enterprises of the machine-building division of Rosatom State Corporation. The largest cargo was the bubbler tank for Unit 4, a component of reactor plant pressurizing system. The equipment made of special chromium-nickel steel is designed for condensation of the steam coming from the primary circuit of reactor compartment. The bubbler tank weights 15 tons, is about 8 meters long, has 2.5 meters in diameter and is 4 meters high. The equipment was delivered to the site having covered a distance of about 4.6 thousand nautical miles from the Port of Saint Petersburg. Upon arrival and completion of customs clearance procedures, all cargoes were moved to the premises of the Eastern Terminal with a truck-mounted crane, and then transported to warehouse facilities of the NPP site. During unloading and transportation operations all safety requirements were met. Both materials and equipment will be subjected to the incoming inspection procedure before their delivery for installation. Specialists will verify their integrity, compliance with the technical documentation and completeness.
