An industry alliance for decommissioning nuclear reactors has been established in China.

The alliance aims to unite industry forces to strengthen joint research and development in the field of decommissioning.

Among the members of the alliance are CNNC and CGN corporations, government departments, energy companies and a number of universities. In total, there are about 30 members in the alliance.

The signing of the alliance agreement took place at a conference in Sichuan Province dedicated to various aspects of decommissioning. The conference was held on July 21, 2022.
