Chinese official on cooperation with Pakistan at least six units

China revealed some details of its cooperation with Pakistan in the field of nuclear energy.

Wang Xiaotao, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that China "provides assistance in the construction of at least six nuclear reactors in Pakistan with a total capacity of 3.4 GW".

Until now the Chinese officials preferred not to name the alleged scale of the building blocks in Pakistan.

The official did not give any more details.

However, it is known that the third and fourth units with reactors CNP-300 are being built at Chashma with the power capacity of each reactor 315 MWe.

Also the preparatory work are carried outfor future units No. 2-3 of the KANUPP with the ACP-1000 reactors with a power of 1100 MW(e). each. Until now the Chinese side was very evasive in public comments on account of its participation in this project.
