The unit No. 2 of Fangjiashan NPP in China reaches first criticality at 25 December 2014.

The unit is equipped with a reactor CPR-1000 of 1000 MWe. The construction started at 17 July 2009. The first of 157 fuel assemblies have been loaded into the core at 3 December 2014.

The unit's commercial operation is expected in October 2015.
