CGN is being forced out of Britain
Chinese nuclear giants CNNC and CGN have a lot in common with Rosatom in their structure, however, unlike the Russians, their portfolio of foreign orders for the construction of nuclear units can be said to be empty.
From this point of view, the units built by CNNC in Pakistan can be mentioned as the only Chinese success, but it is difficult to call it a victory by the ultimate rating, since only Chinese companies can build nuclear power plants in Pakistan due to the twists of international law.
Chinese analysts have never said out loud the strategy that should have been chosen by the sworn friends of CNNC and CGN to repeat the foreign successes of Rosatom. One can restore the adopted strategy. studying the ways and actions of Chinese corporations.

The nuclear submarine cooperation among US, UK and Australia created a dangerous precedent of nuclear weapon countries illegally transferring huge amounts of weapon-grade nuclear materials to non-nuclear weapon countries, which is a serious violation of NPT...

Rosatom starts supplies of nuclear fuel for CFR-600 fast reactor
Elemash Machine-building Plant, a fuel fabrication enterprise of Rosatom TVEL Fuel Company, has dispatched the first batch of nuclear fuel to China for the CFR-600 fast neutron reactor. Till the end of the year, two more fuel shipments are scheduled to follow, aimed for the initial load of the reactor core and the first refueling.
After the launch of the first CFR-600 power unit, Xiapu NPP in China Fujian province will become the first nuclear power plant with a high-capacity fast reactor outside of Russia. The other two functioning installations are the BN-600 and BN-800 sodium-cooled reactors at Beloyarsk NPP in the Urals region of Russia.
The project of fuel fabrication for CFR-600, lasting for already three years, has been a unique task for us in terms...

On September 9, the eve of the Chinese traditional Mid- Autumn Festival, a day for eating moon-cake and family reunions, China National Space Administration (CNSA) and China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) jointly released research findings of the lunar samples brought back by the probe Change 5. A new mineral named Changesite-(Y) was discovered by scientists from Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology (BRIUG), a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC). It has been approved by the Commission on New Minerals, Nomenclature and Classification (CNMNC) of the International Mineralogical Association (IMA). The Changesite-(Y) is the first lunar mineral discovered by China, and the sixth in the world.

Stealthy British success of Chinese Dragon
The Chinese HPR-1000 (Hualong One) project was certified in Britain in February 2022. Not so long ago, this news would have become the event of a year, if not a decade, but now it has gone almost unnoticed.
Britain is a rare customer these days. It has the needs and desire to build new nuclear power units, it has financial resources and a national regulatory system that is not burdened with ties with supranational superstructures such as the European Union, and it does not have its own projects for third-generation nuclear reactors.
Therefore, one should not be surprised that literally all developers of modern reactor projects are interested in the possibility of certifying their projects in Britain.
Certification in Britain is a British-style confusing process.

Some commentators like to use arithmetic to compare various international organizations. If we add up the annual GDP of China (the world's second largest economy), Japan (the third largest economy) and South Korea (whose GDP is nothing to sneeze at) and compare the sum to the GDPs of the G8, which also includes Japan...nothing will happen. This is a senseless exercise because regional and international organizations are not created to flex muscles - economic or otherwise.
The GA is merely a top-level forum for discussing and regulating the ongoing formation of a common economic space in this part of the world. ASEAN performs a similar function in Southeast Asia. The purpose of these organizations is completely clear. The G8, meanwhile, appears no longer to serve a purpose.
But the GA is a special case. There are few organizations in the world where the members have such long-standing animosity toward one another. For example, while Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak have agreed on new plans for cooperation.

Ecological problems of nuclear industry and the situation in China
Energy is a basis of life. All civilization comforts, all material spheres of man activities - from laundering till investigations of the Moon and Mars require power consumption, which will only increase in future. Today energy of atom is widely used in many branches of economics.
Powerful submarine and surface ships with nuclear power installations are under construction. The peaceful atom is used in prospecting for minerals. Radioactive isotopes have a wide application in biology, agriculture, medicine, in space exploration.
Nuclear power plants are the third whale in the modern world power system. Equipment of NPP undoubtedly is the great achievement of the scientific-technical progress. In the case of trouble-free operation, NPPs practically don't pollute the environment, besides thermal pollution. Actually radiation waste presenting a potential hazard is produced as a result of NPP (and nuclear fuel cycle enterprises) operation.

On August 16, 2007 at 00:15 by Beijing time the Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation (JNPC) commissioned Unit 2 of TNPP for commercial operation having completed respective tests of its operation under rated mode, stipulated by the power startup schedule. Signing of the protocol of Preliminary Acceptance of Unit 2 between ASE and JNPC is expected in the middle of September. As of today, the first Unit of TNPP has been in commercial operation since June 2007, operating with stability at 100 % capacity. It has generated about five billion kW-h since its startup. Unit 2 of TNPP has generated more than 700 mln kW-h by the moment of its commercial operation startup.
Russia to commission second unit of China's Tianwan NPP in September
Russia's nuclear equipment export monopoly Atomstroyexport confirmed Tuesday it will commission the second unit of China's Tianwan nuclear power plant in September. The company is building the Tianwan NPP in eastern China's port city of Lianyungang under a 1992 agreement. The plant features improved VVER-1000 reactors and K-100-6/3000 turbo generators. Atomstroyexport will start commissioning the second unit following additional dynamic tests, the company said in a statement. We are expecting to commission the unit and start its commercial operation as early as September 2007, the statement said.
Tianwan nuclear plant's 2nd unit reaches full capacity
The No. 2 generating unit of Tianwan nuclear power plant, a Sino-Russian cooperative project, has begun to operate at full capacity, according to an announcement by the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC). CNNC said that the second unit is operating at a stable 1.05 million kw and all technical parameters are within set values. Before its test operation, the unit passed a full-capacity safety check by the National Nuclear Safety Administration. After the debugging period, the no. 2 generating unit will officially start commercial operation.
